And then I thought... WHY WAIT??
I can do two things I love right now.
I am gonna be a food historian. I love to cook and I love to take care of my family. Wrap some history into that and its just the best thing ever to me.
I have a cookbook that I love. It has been a "go-to" for so many things. We have used it for our History class last year to show different styles of Jewish customs. We made Cheese Blintzes and it was so much fun!
It is called "Better Homes and Gardens Heritage Cookbook" and it focuses on American Heritage. You can find it on Amazon.com, although I found mine at Goodwill.
My Plan is to go through the book and cook each recipe (Kinda like Julia and Julia) to the best of my ability without purchasing extra appliances.
I will document each recipe and tell you the variations that I made if any.
I will also include historical facts and folklore that accompany the meals prepared.
